I have had the privilege to do a number of photo shoots for new businesses lately, and one of them is rather near and dear to my heart. The Storied Sash is a bridal accessory business my mother started just this past year. It’s a shop full of individually handmade brooches that are created with high end vintage jewelry. They can be attached to a provided sash (like one that already comes with a bride’s wedding gown) or with a sash the shop provides. The shop also does custom orders to fit any brides specific taste, along with selling vintage necklaces and earrings.
The Storied Sash originated when my mother created my own personal brooch sash for my wedding gown last November. Last month my husband and I’s wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty and my custom made sash was featured as part of my jewelry ensemble. The blog post specifically featured my brooch sash from The Storied Sash on their jewelry gallery (see here) and was pinned by viewers more than 900 times on Pinterest! To see the full post and the shop’s first creation featured, click here and view the full gallery of photos.

If you’re in the Akron area, the Storied Sash will be a featured booth in tomorrow night’s bridal show at Hale Farm and Village, from 6-9pm. It’s free for a bride or groom and $5 for everyone else, plus you get a free glass of champagne when you walk in! Check out the full list of vendor’s here.
I’ll let these brooch sashes speak for themselves. Stunning.
